Laser cutter are mostly faster than cutting plotter and more precise than punching dies. However co 2 lasers have not traditionally offered a good solution for cutting highly reflective materials. Laser cutting of mild steel and stainless steel has a long history and has been one of the primary applications for co 2 lasers. Laser cutting copper is a subtractive manufacturing technology that uses a high power laser beam to cut flat sheet materials. The cutting of foils with co 2 laser systems is characterised by high precision and flexibility.
